Heads up for you guys following TERA. The website has been update and a few things posted. The first item is a recap of the Focus Group Test.
We’d like to share the results of FGT2 with you in a series of postmortem articles. We’ve separated the feedback into three very broad categories: gameplay, Westernization, and technology. This first piece covers gameplay.
For example…
The overwhelming majority of players felt that levels 1 to 11 were well-balanced and provided a good introduction to TERA and its lore. However, feedback on levels 12 and onward was a lot more diverse. Some liked the pacing at those levels while others felt it needed improvement. We agree that there’s room to improve in this area and plan to add new quests in more centralized hubs.
This worries me as an anti-fan of Korean games. Who are these people? Are they going to listen to a bunch of Lineage 2 fans who enjoy leveling for a few years on one toon till max level? Those people are assholes and should stop fucking up games.
More here.
Make sure you sign up for future tests in their new Tester Application.
And a news roundup called the Valika Guardian.

Well I haven’t written anything in quite some time. There’s really not much going on out there in MMOG-land. Sure there were a few FFXIV leaks and WOW made a big deal about “class updates” for Cataclysm but overall everything has been quiet. Also, I’ve been on hiatus from online gaming. Final Fantasy XIII took up a decent portion of my time along with a few other single player games. So what am I up to these days?

I didn’t post much last week. Sorry. Two bits of news for you guys that you may of missed
In case you weren’t paying attention THQ is going to be showing off it’s future game, Warhammer 40k Online, at E3 this year. I’m not a Warhammer tabletop guy at all. I don’t have the figurines or the books but whenever I see someone get excited about this on the forums by saying “Blood for the Blood God”; it gets me a little giddy.
For those of you who pay attention, Mortal Online just launched their open beta. I’m not even going to give you a link because the game is shit.
Edit: Check out the comments on Rerollz News youtube video on Mortal Online. There are some… interesting? …people out there.
Have fun.
