Nanyea of Castlerealm recently sat down with Craig Morrison, Game Director, to discuss the latest issues and developments for the MMORPG Age of Conan. Age of Conan was released last year and started off with a rush of potential subscriptions with a large influx of box sales. Unfortunately the game proved to be unfinished, riddled with bugs, and completely unpolished. Age of Conan saw a sharp decrease in subscription renewals after the first few months.
There is however a light at the end of the tunnel. Even though they can’t discuss the expansion because they can’t “[reveal] the details of the expansion just yet … [they are] very excited about the new content that the expansion will be bringing, but [we’ll] have to wait a little longer before” any details will be released. What really has most people still playing AOC “is that [the developers] have been focusing on the live game, and the huge content additions [they] have been making there over the last six months, and continue to do so, it all adds up to an already expanded game!”
Hopefully they are focusing on cleaning the game up. There is a large content patch coming out within the next month or so that will fix a lot of the itemization and further balance the classes.
