In blog entry by Jeff Hickman at TenTonHammer for his recent PAX trip he had a little tidbit that piqued many people’s interest.
1. Lairs are awesome and have yet to be really discovered and exploited by the players. Let me give you a nudge;
There is a Lair in Nordland. It is on the other side of the mountains from Grimmenhagen village, just past Salzemund. You have to pass by Salzemund and swim down the coast to find it. It, like all Lairs, has a pretty tough boss monster in it that has a chance of dropping some pretty good loot.
There is a Lair in Western Prague that is tough to find. Swim west, up the river from Prague. Don’t stop until you see a little cove on your right. This leads to the entrance to another Lair that not many people (if any) know about.
Seems like a fantastic option for the explorer types, at least until WARDB plops them into their databases. Right now they appear to be a single party experience. I for one thing these are great little nuggets for the average player to go after. Here’s a few more tidbits of information Jeff posted in his follow up blog entry to a Q&A session in the forums.
QUESTION FOR JEFF: Are the lairs solo or grouped and do they work like public quests?
ANSWER: Most of the lairs involve fighting the monster who inhabits it (it is a “lair” after all). These monsters are generally very high level and very difficult to kill. With this in mind, it is probably a good idea to bring a trustworthy group of friends with you when you go exploring for them.
QUESTION FOR JEFF: Question, are there lairs in every zone, just s few, or only the two you mentioned?
ANSWER: There are lairs in almost every outdoor zone in the game.
One main problem that could come up are spawn times. How long is there between spawns? Are these lairs going to create farming and spawn camps? An interesting twist would be that they were put in RvR enabled areas so you have to compete for spawns.
Interesting indeed.
Oh and here’s a video from Ambrax at mygamersVideos:

How do you ask? Well that’s simple, buy the premier addition of Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3. In an interesting cross promotional deal, Electronic Arts promotes it’s new game due to ship 10/20/2008.
# An exclusive in-game item for Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning – Korssar’s Helm Description: This magical Kislevite helm is imbued with the spirit of the wild North and will magically transform the wearer into a ferocious bear.
Interesting to say the least. What do you think about it? Angry that a cool feature is only available to people who buy an entirely different game they have no interest in? Unfair? Smart or clever?

This is a preliminary post describing each of the healing careers, their basic mechanics and what we believe their role will be throughout the leveling process and at the end game. We can in no way tell you for sure how everything pans out since we have not experienced every class at every level, but being the awesome MMO gamers that we are we can make some very good educated guesses. Anything we miss please post and comment on them. We’re always looking for a good discussion so that we can put out the best information available to us right now.
Healing Careers
Archmage, Rune Priest, Warrior Priest, Shaman, Zealot, Disciple of Khaine

In Warhammer Online there are two different basic differences between healers, range healing and melee healing. The melee healers have to be within weapons range in order to build up their power mechanic that allows them to cast their healing spells. The ranged healers quite obviously stay at range to cast their offensive and defensive spells.
Melee Healers: Warrior Priest, Disciple of Khaine
Range Healers: Shaman, Zealot, Archmage, Runepriest
All the healers have a mirror. This means if you are playing a Warrior Priest you have a counterpart on the Destruction side in the Disciple of Khaine.
Mirrors:
Disciple of Kaine – Warrior Priest
Archmage – Shaman
Rune Priest – Zealot
